Amini | Macchine Inutili – Bruno Munari

The project takes shape from the combination of simple, thin sheets of silk-screened aluminum—with a color accent on both sides—that give rise to a kinetic sculpture, in which the form in space is not predefined, but develops in an unpredictable manner. These suspended works of art seemingly suggest a very specific function, but, at first glance, honestly reveal their "uselessness" and challenge the logic of traditional design.
The eponymous collection presented by Amini includes three color variations representing three frames of the same rotating Useless Machine, recounting a moment of its kinetic existence: the slow evolution of these abstract geometric figures, even with a breath of wind, comes to life in expertly hand-knotted rugs crafted from fine wool and silk. The colors—yellow, pink, gray, red, and blue—are drawn directly from Munari's visual universe, creating a work that is both a reference and a reinterpretation.
