Rubelli | Bestegui

Inspiration for this new damask came from the splendid baroque decorations in the Jesuit church in Venice built during the early 18th century with its nave and aisles almost completely covered in white and green marble imitating tapestries. The original design has been scaled down and reproduced using the two-colour effect of an exquisitely coloured silk warp and a weft consisting of two threads of Novafil, one gold and one silver. The result is a seductive shimmering fabric with attractive colour effects, a soft and silky feel, light and luxurious – one of the most important fabrics in the Rubelli collection.
